Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The author(s) take(s) responsibility for the content of the article submitted to the journal and authorize(s) its publication.
  • Units of measurement must follow the standards of the International System (SI), drawn up by the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM) [www.bipm.org];
  • Authors must mention their ORCID when submitting their data. An ORCID identifier is unique to each individual and acts as a persistent digital identifier, ensuring that authors (especially those with relatively common names) can be differentiated and that their work is correctly attributed.
  • Boards, tables, graphs and illustrations must be captioned and the full source cited;
  • By submitting an article to the journal Diálogos Interdisicplinares: Educação, Saúde e Direito, authors agree to the ethical policies and undertake to conduct research in accordance with the highest ethical and legal standards.
  • When submitting an article, authors declare that all human participants have provided informed consent to take part in the research.
  • The authors state that the participation of humans and animals in their research was voluntary and that no participant was coerced or subjected to any form of pressure.

Author Guidelines

The article must be unpublished in Brazil or in another country; a preliminary version presented in the proceedings of national or international scientific events will not be considered a breach of originality;

-The article submitted to Diálogos Interdisciplinares will be evaluated primarily on its scientific merit;

- The article can be submitted in Portuguese or English;

- The article must have a maximum of 8 authors;

- The article cannot be submitted for simultaneous evaluation in another journal;

- The Editor may or may not accept the submitted article for publication, in accordance with the journal's editorial policy;

- The Editor may suggest changes to the article, both in terms of the content of the article and in terms of adapting the text to the writing and presentation standards;

  • Articles must comply with the standards of the Brazilian Association of Technical Standards - ABNT, in particular NBR 10719 (Presentation of Technical-Scientific Reports), NBR 10520 (Citation in Documents), NBR 6023 (References) and NBR 6028 (Abstracts). Graphs and figures must have sequentially numbered captions;

- Articles should be written in clear, objective language. The author should avoid colloquial language, jargon and technical terms without proper explanation;

- It is essential that texts are proofread in Portuguese, as articles with problems of this nature will be rejected;

- The texts must be accompanied, in a separate file, by a letter authorizing publication and assignment of copyright;

Rules for publication

- The file must be in Microsoft Word or RTF format and may not exceed 2MB;

- The text must be written and presented in accordance with ABNT standards. The text should be written in Arial font, size 12, 1.5 spacing and justified alignment;

- Paragraphs should be indented by 1.25 cm from the first line and there should be no spacing between them;

- The page layout should be on A4 paper (29.7 x 21 cm), with margins: top (4 cm), left (3 cm), bottom (2.5 cm) and right (2 cm);

- Articles should be a maximum of 20 pages long, including tables, notes and references.

- The following structure should be followed when writing the article: title, abstract, keywords, introduction, theoretical basis, research method, research results, analysis and discussion of the results, final considerations (main conclusions, limitations of the research and recommendations for future studies) and references;

- The title of the work and the sections of the article should be written in upper case and bold, the subheadings in upper case without bold, with corresponding Arabic numerals;

- Charts, tables, graphs and illustrations should be included in the main document, in the sequence in which they appear in the text, and written in font 10;

- The abstract should have a maximum of 250 words and highlight the objective, the research method and the main results with single spacing, just below the title.

Keywords: minimum 4 and maximum 6 keywords.

- The author(s) should highlight four to six keywords that indicate the content of the work; as well as the corresponding Keywords;

- Foreign words should be italicized, while neologisms or unusual meanings should be in quotation marks;

- Notes should be avoided; when used, they should serve to explain or clarify, in a succinct manner, and not be confused with reference to the source; they should come at the end of the text, with sequential numbering in Arabic numerals;

- The article must be written correctly in terms of grammar; problems of this nature will lead to the text being rejected by the editor;

- The article approved for publication will undergo final editing and spelling and grammar checks;

- The author(s) should not be identified in the body of the paper. The full name(s) of the author(s) should be presented on a separate page, accompanied by a brief curriculum vitae detailing academic and/or professional experience, address, telephone numbers, fax numbers and email addresses;

- In the OJS system adopted by Diálogos Interdisciplinares, the author(s) will have their article automatically rejected by the system if they do not accept the exclusivity, originality and copyright clauses;

- The OJS system notes the date of entry and the steps of the article evaluation and publishing process, and the author(s) can follow the status of their article automatically through the system;

- The editor and/or any individual or institution linked to its collegiate bodies are not responsible for the opinions, ideas, concepts and positions expressed in the texts, as they are the sole responsibility of the author(s);

- The article must be submitted online only to the submissions site

  • Reproduction of all or part of the content of articles is permitted, provided the source is acknowledged.
  • Articles containing plagiarism will be rejected and the author of the plagiarism will lose the right to publish in this journal.
  • The names and addresses provided in this journal will be used exclusively for the services provided by this publication and are not available for other purposes or to third parties.
  • By submitting articles, authors assign the copyright of their articles to Diálogos Interdisciplinares: Educação, Saúde e Direito. If the author regrets their submission, they have the right to ask Diálogos Interdisciplinares not to publish their article. However, this request must be made within two months of the launch of the issue in which the article is to be published.
