Introduction: Studies show that the more informed young people are about their sexual health, the more likely they are to adopt preventive and responsible behaviors. Promoting health in the school environment is an essential component for the comprehensive development of young people, especially with regard to education on sexual and reproductive rights. Method: descriptive experience report study on the perspective of organizing actions whose method involved organizing lectures within the Health in School Program (PSE) with nursing students. Results: Students from municipal schools showed great interest in the topics covered, mainly due to the relevance of the subject for their age group. Throughout the lectures, there was high participation, with students asking questions about contraceptive methods, ways to prevent STIs, and the consequences of teenage pregnancy. Qualified teachers are able to bridge the gap between health content and school curricula, allowing for a more effective integration of the topics covered in the lectures with the pedagogical content already covered in the classroom. Conclusion: Trained teachers can bridge the gap between health content and school curricula, allowing for more effective integration of the topics covered in lectures with the pedagogical content already covered in the classroom. As a result, lectures cease to be isolated events and become part of students' ongoing learning, increasing their educational impact.
