Association Between The Positivity Of Childbirth And Prenatal, A Comparison Between The Two Assistances.

Abstract

Introduction: Nowadays, information is disseminated more rapidly, but not always in an appropriate manner. This shallow access can lead to uncertainty and misinformation, especially in such special and unique moments as pregnancy. Therefore, understanding the associations between childbirth and prenatal care is essential to comprehend each stage of the process. Method: This study was developed based on an experience report from a technical observational visit to the Regional Hospital, located in a city in the Cariri region of Paraíba, as part of the course "Women’s Health II" in the Bachelor of Nursing program at a private university in the interior of Paraíba. The visit took place on May 30, 2025, and involved five students. In addition to the practical experience, a literature review was conducted using academic platforms such as Google Scholar, SciELO, PubMed, and BVS, focusing on the relationship between prenatal care and the perception of childbirth. Results: The organization of sectors dedicated to obstetric and neonatal care was observed, as well as the importance of humanized care, multidisciplinary team involvement, and the presence of a companion to ensure a safer and more respectful delivery. Conclusion: The study highlighted that investing in professional training, expanding access to quality services, and strengthening public policies are essential actions to ensure a dignified, safe, and humanized childbirth experience.
